Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic was fined for $15,000 by the NBA for publicly criticizing game officials in his blog. Howard was frustrated following their loss to Detroit last week in which he fouled out of the game.

Dwayne Wade of the Miami Heat was handpicked by Michael Jordan to debut the Air Jordan shoe 25^th anniversary release. The shoe will be launched on February 13, 2010.

NBA All-Star ballot was officially unveiled in Dallas, Texas. There are 120 players listed in the ballot and the voters may select two guards, two forwards and a center for each conference. Voting will be until January 18, 2010 and the starters will be announced three days later. Next year’s All-Star weekend will be held in Dallas, Texas on February 12-14.

Shaquille O’neal of the Cleveland Cavaliers and his wife are splitting up. Shaquille’s wife Va’Shaundya filed for legal separation with intent to divorce because of irreconcilable differences. The two have been married for almost seven years and blessed with four children.
