I admit that I didn’t care much about how Jeremy Lin has been buzzing the United States college hoops. It was not until I went through the forums and I found out that this young fellow of Taiwanese descent deserves all the accolades he enjoys. This kid can play real basketball.

Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics became the 32nd player in the NBA to score at least 20,000 points. Allen hit a three-pointer in the third quarter in their game against Washington Wizards that finally sealed his feat at the latter’s homecourt.

China’s injured star Yao Ming of the Houston Rockets donated $100,000 through his foundation to help rebuild the four playgrounds in Houston that had been destroyed by the hurricane. It was announced at the same time his foundation will have a charity gala with the Museum of Fine Arts early next year.
