WBC light flyweight champion Rodel Mayol of the Philippines was recently honored in his hometown in San Fernando, Cebu. Hideki Matsui of Japan, who was recently voted as the World Series MVP underwent a test in his left knee in New York. Matsui who had a surgery to repair the damaged cartilage early this year went through two hours of MRI scans and tests. He left the hospital without speaking to the media.
