NBA Tidbits: Kobe Bryant, Allen Iverson and more

Kobe Bryant achieved another milestone in his career as he reached the 24,000 points plateau by scoring 41 points in LA Lakers game against Memphis Grizzlies last Friday, November 6.  Bryant became the youngest NBA player to reach such feat and overtook Allen Iverson on the 16th place on the NBA all-time scoring list.

Allen Iverson continues to make his frustrations public. He has been disappointed with his new team Memphis Grizzlies because of limited playing time and reserve role.

New Jersey Nets Forward Chris Douglas-Roberts was confirmed to have been infected with H1N1 Virus. Douglas-Roberts will be out indefinitely as he has been treated accordingly. The team likewise has adopted all the precautionary measures.

Forward Tyrus Thomas of the Chicago Bulls will be out for four to six weeks after undergoing surgery by team physicians . He suffered a fractured radius of his left forearm in their weight training sessions last Friday, November 6.

New Orleans Hornets team owner George Shinn was diagnosed with prostate cancer.  Shinn has been the owner of the club originally at Charlotte back in 1988 then transferred to New Orleans in 2002.
