Ray Allen of the Boston Celtics became the 32nd player in the NBA to score at least 20,000 points. Allen hit a three-pointer in the third quarter in their game against Washington Wizards that finally sealed his feat at the latter’s homecourt.

Coach Don Nelson of the Golden State Warriors was diagnosed to have a pneumonia. The second-winningest coach in NBA history is expected to miss two road games in Dallas and San Antonio early this week. Nelson’s health status will be re-evauated by weekend to determine if he’s fit to coach the Warriors by then.

Allen Iverson and Memphis Grizzlies mutually agreed to part ways. Iverson played just three games before taking a leave of absence last November 7 to attend to personal matters. Dwight Howard of the Orlando Magic was fined for $15,000 by the NBA for publicly criticizing game officials in his blog. Howard was frustrated following their loss to Detroit last week in which he fouled out of the game.

Kobe Bryant achieved another milestone in his career as he reached the 24,000 points plateau by scoring 41 points in LA Lakers game against Memphis Grizzlies last Friday, November 6. Bryant became the youngest NBA player to reach such feat and overtook Allen Iverson on the 16th place on the NBA all-time scoring list.
