Who’s corner will come to rescue?

“Firepower” is just a few days away. I’m sure I share the same feeling with my fellow Filipinos and all Pacquiao fans. As they say, styles make fights, Manny Pacquiao’s fight against Miguel Angel Cotto will be an all-out war right from the opening bell. The two ring gladiators meet in the ring carrying the hopes and dreams of Philippines and Puerto Rico respectively. There have been a lot of predictions by boxing gurus to enthusiasts to just mere spectators. Some of these predictions will become reality by November 14. From the looks of it, I have this feeling that somebody will go down kissing the canvass.

Manny Pacquiao, who has an impressive record of 49-3-2 win-loss-draw record, has scored 37 KOs in his victories. That’s close to 76% in KO percentages. Miguel Angel Cotto, on the other hand, scores an equally impressive 34-1-0 record with 27 KOs, meaning 79% KO percentage.

On fight night, one may ask, who’s corner will throw in the towel first? Who’s corner will come to rescue?
